Physics and Realizations
Like Carlo Rovelli, who was reading Einstein’s work on an Italian beach, today I too have also seen and experimented and understood some tenets of physics after reading GEB.
I checked: which was the fastest way to get from point A -> B?
I asked my cousin Tessa to count the seconds it took for me to get from where we were, point A, to point B, the end of the swimming pool.
Here are the results
- Shooting a water gun, less than 1 second
- Swimming, 4 seconds
- Walking, 8 seconds
It was interesting for me to see the wave. Because of a diagram in GEB.
And also, I realized
That we are 3 dimensional creatures.
That our teeth are basically like rocks. They have moss and cavities growing on them if you don’t take care.
That, if you look at the moon, and see the Jurassic period of the earth, dinosaurs look so small that you could squish them.
Compound growth is real, and you can see it, like when you see a small seed grow into a large large tree. The effect is staggering.
