Plato famously said that men often did not look beyond the everyday, to look up towards the truth.

I know from experience that people usually don’t look up to spot things unless cued. I live in a condo and when I looked down at my friends without saying a word, they didn’t noticed me, though I had an overview of what they were doing in saying.

I have a workmate who is a very driven project manager. We’re trying to finalize some SOPs for a process that would mean savings for the company, and of course I volunteered. I think he reflects a strong leader. If I were to form a project team with a tight deadline, and wanted someone at the helm, I would place him as the manager since his assertiveness is his strength. Drucker said leaders shouldn’t be afraid of strength, and I always tried to follow that advice.

AIM has a model for a business, the I P O model which is

Input

Process

Output

Which I really like, because it shows that a business is a machine, with inputs, processes, and outputs. Even organisms like humans follow the same scheme.

Nights and weekends. Upon my scanning of much of the literature, this is where you work on yourself, rather than on your job.

If you consistently save P1000 per month, that gives you P48000 in 4 years.

Was listening to Tony Robbins, where he gave this thought exercise: what were the decisions you made 10, 20 years ago that impacted your life?

Apparently one of the most important factors of success is to understand clearly your reasons for doing something. A raison d etre, and understanding our motivations, is an interesting point. I hope keeping this in mind, having clarity of reason and questions can help me become successful.

Ravikant said that we have to use our natural curiosity for everything, to understand things better, and because we understand, we will naturally improve ourselves.
